We only got 3 players. They got 4. We didn't even get 4 and one left, because then you would've seen a grey bar (wouldn't you?)
Anyone else seen this? anyone knows what it is?

You normally get a grey bar before they connect and are loading (it may stay grey if they d/c during this period or ive they never load) if they disconnect before u load in it norm results in a smaller party, i think anyways. well thats how ive always found it to be

I've also seen it where we won and a teammate left before the next match and we never got a replacement. Kind of the same as what Sophitia said, but it was odd since the player left before the countdown to the next match was done and well before the load screan for the next match.

It's a rare, random bug. It happened to me twice. NCSoft replied to an email I sent about this, and they said it was too rare to be a problem with the programming, and there was nothing they could do to fix it. It seems that more and more people are running into the bug. I think you're the 5th mention I've seen on the forums about it.

I had this happen to me near the end of the last Nightfall beta. We won our first match (which was 3 vs 3), and got stuck with No Opposing Party for about 5 times. Then I quit.

To elaborate, what happens is that when you load, data is sent to your computer displaying who is in your party. If someone disconnected before you load, then the computer has no way of knowing that that person was ever in your party, so it doesn't even display a bar.

It's not a rare bug, it happens all the time (in RA). Bug is a bit of a strong word for this issue though, maybe that's why it doesn't get reported as often as it is encountered.

One time with this bug I only got me and other dude on my team.

We both just left (3v4 is possible but 2v4 not so much)

The reason it's not reported as a bug is because it isn't one. Regardless of whether or not you see the bar, the person won't be there anyway, since the reason the bar isn't there is because they left or d/c'ed.

You just have to know what it means. Notice in the picture, there's a number 1, 2, and 4, but no 3. Why would the program skip number 3? It doesn't. Number 3 d/c'ed or left before Thomas.knbk loaded, so the computer doesn't know they were in his party.

(And the reason it doesn't display 3 instead of 4 is because the character's "name" is changed upon loading to display a certain number; it appears the same to everyone in the instance)
